Job Description

A leading private equity real estate investment firm is seeking a high-calibre Manager of Finance to take ownership of the finance function across its investment portfolio (within APAC). This is a strategic and hands-on role, working at the intersection of finance, capital markets, and investment execution within a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction platform. You will partner closely with senior management, investment professionals, lenders, and external advisors to drive financial performance, governance, and capital efficiency across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Reporting & Financial Management

  • Lead preparation of Board, Investment Committee, and investor reporting materials
  • Oversee monthly consolidation and financial reporting across the portfolio
  • Deliver P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis with clear commercial insights
  • Own the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle
  • Ensure timely month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting accuracy
  • Manage financial operations across SPVs
  • Coordinate with auditors, trustees, and tax advisors

Investment & Strategic Advisory

  • Partner with the investment team on acquisitions and divestments
  • Lead financial due diligence and return analysis
  • Review and challenge financial models and assumptions
  • Advise on structuring, accounting treatment, and financial implications
  • Assess impact on profitability, funding, and cash flow

Treasury & Capital Management

  • Manage portfolio liquidity, cash flow, and funding requirements
  • Execute loan drawdowns, repayments, and refinancing activities
  • Maintain debt, hedge, and mark-to-market schedules
  • Engage with banks on financing facilities and hedging strategies
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with loan covenants
  • Coordinate legal documentation and transaction settlements
  • Prepare capital management materials for senior stakeholders

Structuring & Corporate Actions

  • Develop and implement tax-efficient investment structures with advisors
  • Support restructuring initiatives across the portfolio
  • Oversee incorporation and liquidation of entities

Governance & Process Excellence

  • Strengthen internal controls and financial governance frameworks
  • Drive continuous improvements in reporting and processes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements

Strategic Projects

  • Lead or support ad-hoc initiatives aligned with portfolio and platform growth

 

You should have;

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CA/CPA preferred
  • Min 8-12 years of relevant experience, ideally within real estate, private equity, or fund management
  • Strong technical grounding in financial reporting, consolidation, and treasury
  • Experience supporting investment transactions and deal execution
  • Familiarity with SPV structures and multi-entity environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with sound commercial judgment
