Job Description
We are recruiting for a growing Pan Asian Logistics platform with both private funds and REITs, you will be providing legal support to the company and reporting to the SVP – Legal directly.
In summary, you will be responsible for providing legal expertise in structuring, managing, and ensuring regulatory compliance for private funds, handling legal aspects of property transactions, lease agreements, and dispute resolution. You will ensure adherence to regulatory requirements for listed Real Estate Investment Trusts and provide general legal support such as drafting and reviewing contracts and staying updated relevant legal changes impacting the company.
As above, you will assist on regulatory compliance matters related to fund operations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and counter- terrorism financing (CTF) requirements. This will include assisting in negotiations with investors, fund administrators, and external counsel. You will assist on property acquisition, disposition, and financing transactions, including due diligence and contract negotiations.
You will support the compliance function by ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements under the Securities and Futures Act, MAS guidelines, and other relevant regulations. You will assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory filings, including financial returns and disclosures. You will assist in development and implementation of policies and procedures for REIT governance etc.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) from an accredited institution.
• At least 3 years of post-qualification of relevant in-house legal experience, preferably within a real estate environment, admission to the Singapore Bar (or eligibility to be called to the Singapore Bar) will be an advantage
• Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law.
• Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating real estate
contracts such as lease agreements, sale and purchase agreements, and development agreements.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal responsibilities.
