Assistant Vice President, Fund Operations
A well-established global asset management platform with a strong Asian heritage and international presence. The firm manages a broad range of traditional and alternative investment strategies for institutional and accredited investors globally.
Role Overview
The AVP, Fund Operations will support the day-to-day operations of private funds, separately managed accounts and SPVs. The role is hands-on and focused on fund accounting oversight, NAV review, reconciliations, loan administration, audit and tax coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Review administrator-prepared NAV packs, capital accounts, financial statements and fund accounting records.
- Review accruals, management fees, expense allocations, interest calculations and FX translation.
- Analyse NAV movements, investigate discrepancies and prepare supporting review schedules.
- Perform reconciliations across cash, loan positions and investor records.
- Prepare payment instructions, utilisation requests and operational schedules under four-eye controls.
- Support loan onboarding and administration, including drawdowns, repayments, interest servicing and covenant tracking.
- Coordinate with fund administrators, banks, borrowers, lenders, auditors, tax advisers and other service providers.
- Support annual audits, tax filings and investor reporting requirements.
- Help strengthen NAV review controls, documentation and operational processes.
Requirement
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline. CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent is advantageous.
- Min 6 years of experience in fund operations, fund accounting, fund administration, audit or asset management operations.
- Good understanding of NAV review, reconciliations, accruals, capital calls, drawdowns, distributions and fund reporting.
- Experience with private funds, credit funds, real estate funds, loan products or SPVs is preferred.
- Strong Excel skills, attention to detail and ability to investigate accounting or NAV exceptions.
- Good communication skills and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders.
