Senior Accountant
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our client; a growing Asset Management platform. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for full sets, financial closing and reporting, management reporting, treasury support, and driving finance transformation initiatives through the adoption of AI-enabled tools and automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS, SFRS, or relevant accounting standards.
- Responsible for general ledger management, month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Manage audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain accounting records for investment portfolios, funds, SPVs, and holding structures.
- Review NAV calculations and fund performance reports.
- Support investment acquisitions, disposals, and capital transactions.
- Coordinate with fund administrators, custodians, and investment teams.
- Ensure compliance with MAS regulations and applicable financial reporting requirements.
- Support tax filings, GST/VAT submissions, and regulatory reporting.
- Maintain robust internal controls and finance governance processes.
- Prepare management reports, board papers, and financial analysis.
- Provide insights into portfolio performance, cash flow, and financial risks.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning exercises.
- Partner with investment professionals and senior management on business initiatives.
- Drive the adoption of AI-enabled finance tools to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Leverage AI technologies for financial analysis, forecasting, reconciliations, and anomaly detection.
- Participate in finance process automation initiatives using AI, workflow platforms, and data analytics tools.
- Support development of finance dashboards and business intelligence reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline and Chartered Accountant
- Minimum 6-8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Prior experience within Asset Management, Private Equity, Real Estate Funds, Investment Management, or Financial Services preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/SFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software, and advanced Excel
- Familiarity with AI-enabled finance platforms, business intelligence tools, and automation technologies is highly desirable.
